This article is about twelve artists who emigrated to the U.S. from Europe in the 1930s. The two artists discussed here, Fernand Léger and Amédée Ozenfant, both spent time at Black Mountain College. Particularly during its early years, there was a strong European presence in both the faculty and student population at BMC.
