Alchemical Form

This totem-like piece is a material representation of the Axiom of Maria, which is a precept in alchemy: "One becomes two, two becomes three, and out of the third comes the one as the fourth." Carl Jung used this axiom as a metaphor for the process of individuation, from undifferentiated unconsciousness to individual consciousness.
