The Farm

Panel text reads:

The Farm. Instead of gym we took Farm. The farm was also thought of as a money making ve-hicle. Chicken, vegetables and beef (not too aged and thus a little tough, although the cooks did a great job stewing it in beer) also came to the college table. Paul Williams later on, gave money to the college to develop a beef herd for income. One long difficult winter when we eliminated the winter term we ate some of it, steaks instead of salary for the faculty. The farm manager worked very hard and devotedly. A few students who stayed on after worked full time on the farm.
