Artwork: 2004.11.1
Untitled
This 1951 painting by Joseph Fiore had been torn up by Lou Harrison in a moment of high emotion. It was later pieced back together and restored. The Estate of Lou Harrison donated the painting to BMCM+AC after the musician's death, wrapped in a lush length of blue velvet used by Harrison for his Asian instruments.
